Clayton Gardens: Westmoreland
This staircase is slightly wider than typical staircases to avoid that cramped feeling you often get while transiting from floor to floor. At the top of the stairs built in shelves provide privacy from viewing below, a nice detail with books and a flat surface to throw keys or other items when on the fly. The window above the front door provides needed natural light and the framed trim details on the staircase walls provide detail while breaking up what would have been too much uninterrupted drywall space.
