Cedar House
A new sustainable family house in Cookham. The design seeks to integrate the house with an extensive landscaping scheme, including a large wildflower roof. The design is characterised by a 'heavy' brickwork plinth and a 'light' timber volume above. The materials blend the locally dominant brick with cedar cladding, which gives reference to the large protected surrounding cedar trees.
The design is focussed on beautiful, practical and comfortable family living. Careful thought has been given to parking, storage, acoustics, living arrangement, outdoor living as well as core values in sustainable design.
