Blaine Stairs
The open kitchen combines floor to ceiling cabinetry and windows to create a clean, expansive feel for the relatively narrow space. The island combines a live-edge slab of wood with a more traditional countertop surface to create a furniture-like feel to the kitchen. The main cabinetry fades into the background and reads more as wall space. The island does double duty as a dining table. The kitchen spills into the living room and captures views from every direction. The floating stair and glass partition wall increases the airiness and brings in additional light from the second floor.
