19th Century Farmhouse Renovation - Interior
This series of photos shows a wonderful 19th Century house which we almost doubled in size, opening up small dark cramped rooms and creating large open spaces which flowed into each other and out to the beautiful surrounding views. The aesthetic is stripped down traditional. It is simple but warm. A house for a family of writers and readers. Count the number of places to curl up with a good book or work on an art project, always with a window to look out of and dream.
The huge central island was custom made of oak with a white afyon marble top. The owner picked the industrial style lamps and seating. We installed large 19th century style windows over the sink area and a Wolf 48" range with a pot filler above.
