We bought our Arts&Crafts house, both bathroom and toilet, which are separate, are papered. The wallpaper is, I believe, a Laura Ashley, birds and flowers. It’s been there for quite a few years without any issues. I had since installed an electric shower with the ceiling curtain circle rail, the wall above the bathtub is tiled now. Otherwise, it is still papered and fine. When time comes to redecorate, I will remove the paper in bathroom as it doesn’t complement the original tiles, and will hang the different paper in the cloakroom.

Yes HU + lots of numbers, wallpaper can look luxurious and yes, an acreage of tiles can and does make the room look clinical unless you soften the space with plants/textiles/towels. A lot of the above do, I agree Deborah, look overpowering but I could happily go with Nos: 5, 18 & 21 (how dramatic is this one esp with that lampshade)
