We like a lot about this picture from the stairway that integrates the lower level, to the floors, ceiling, stone. Just overall look. It's great photo so much may have been done with lighting.
Maybe something along these lines in the basement. Dw, sink, small fridge, trash cabinet. More for resale then our use
