here are two tiles used in this design a Carrara Bianco 3x6" which can be priced from a high end retailer at $30-40SF or online for $7.50SF :) Then the other is the glass tile. But again the prices for glass are all over the place. Make sure the glass has a kiln fused back (not cure dried) and is 8mm thick, yes you can get cheaper with the other options but even with these options I do not think our price of$9.99 a Square Foot and Free Shipping (all prices quoted here are valid thru 2015) is pretty impressive.
