OMG! A Google search led me here. I am a new homeowner, in a brand new home (2018/2019 build). First time having gas too. I’ve only been in the home 6 weeks, and would stand in the kitchen and could not figure out where the rattling noise was coming from - which to me sounded right behind the oven. Thinking maybe it was the pans I keep in the drawer under the oven, I pulled those out. I removed all the dishes from the surrounding cabinets, I tried everything and looked everywhere to find out where this highly annoying sound was coming from. I even thought maybe it was the outside pergola that extends over the deck off the sliding glass door right next to the kitchen counter. And then I saw it... I got that ladder out, climbed up, and sure enough it’s that damn flap. I haven’t fixed it yet, but at least it’s comforting to know where the noise is coming from, and that my roof isn’t about to blow off (as a first time home owner, I’m a bit paranoid). I appreciate some of the suggestions here. I may just hot-glue a strip of felt along the bottom of the flap. I’ll post a pic once I complete this task, which has now been added to the ever-growing list of “to-dos”.

Did that work?

Pecky Cypress Ceiling for MBR just like I shared with Andrea and John from the very beginning.

Fireplace with mounted tv and sound bar like what we're doing. Will be doing a similar clean palette like this. Probably a light gray couch for one of the living rooms. I really would like to do the white slipcover couch and/or chairs like Heather Horner has that we saw at R2G.

Show John for our closet.

Bookshelves with arch.

Too funny. This is our outdoor deck furniture we bought when we lived in SK. I just found it 1.5 years later here on Houzz.

Incorporate X's.

Love paint color.

Show Andrea. Maybe do our MBA/MBR in a color like this.

Love some slats.

Should we do brown wood shutters vs the blue?

What if we did more white, then gray louvers and wood shutters and door and maybe some blue accents.

If we build a mountain NC home, this would be something to consider.

Q

Love the great use of space where there's bench seating and gooseneck lamps.

I love the ceiling detail.

Q

Maybe do this wood detail in Bathroom. It mimics the shaker cabinet doors in our home. Then we'll have the wallpaper on the upper portion.

Q

Maybe do these architectural X's to achieve the X's we wanted on the two front doors. Plus, it will match the X's on the front railings.

X detail.

Q

Share with Jeff, Andrea and Rachel to determine if we should have bronze/black hardware for the doors even though we'll have polished chrome plumbing/faucets. Only the kitchen will have black hardware and sink faucet.

Arch.

Woodwork in hall.

Should we do the wood tile in a herringbone pattern just at the front entry foyer? Maybe even do a wood/marble tile combo look!?

Q

Can John do these corbels?

Q

Photo

Koma and Azek PVC posts and caps.

Q

I like this patio furniture and the firepit.

Q

Possible bunk beds.

Q

Can stone be added at the front? Or near the garage?

Q

Discuss whether we should have some kind of runner on our stairs. With white risers. Check out Hochmann's stairs to see if they did wood all one color. Or, with white risers to see what it would look like.

Q

Photo

Love this shade of wood. The color of the house looks like what we'll be going with too. Or similar. I emailed this to John today 5/18/18 to see if he can get a bid on these doors too. Perhaps less expensive because it has less glass.

Q

Photo

See if John can add perhaps arched wood accents in the peaks.

Q

Photo

See if John can add a white accent like this with then the blue shutter accents.

Q

Photo

Perhaps do our outdoor shower like this to tie in the blue again.

Q

Photo

This looks a lot like what our palette will be.
