laundry will be back entry after mud hall. need sink for laundry and for filling pets' dish in mud hall. space for chest freezer; to hang and fold; cleaning supplies.
like painted cabinets, but if laundry backs to kitchen and doubles as butler's pantry, cabinets will probably be same knotty alder. so I would want fun color in wallpaper or backsplash, I suppose.

pretty laundry room with sink+industrial lighting. If laundry is situated next to kitchen, it should serve as laundry, butler's pantry, storage for cleaning supplies. Mud room would have landing stations for pile of mail, pet supplies, extra sink for cleaning up mucky stuff from outside.
