This looks much better than other pictures I've seen of this trim!

Thickness and height of header

Q

Casing, header and baseboard are all the same.

Q

Photo

overall feel...notice the trim

Q

casing around the door

Q

Photo

SH-possible DH - not bad. hints a bit of the craftsman style however.

Q

Photo

kind of

Q

contrasting trim DH- I still think something like this could work.

clean lines

DH-So we agree this isn't what we're after, right?

Q

Sketch

Did the shelf on the top of the header instead of the bottom.

Q

Sketch

Header is thicker than casing, but same height.

Q

Sketch

Header and casing the same, thicker baseboard.

Q

Sketch

double lip

Q

Sketch

Even casing, but don't like having the extended windowsill with a piece of casing underneath

Q

Sketch

The casing is all even, but the baseboard has a touch of flair along the top edge. i like

Q

Sketch

Hmmm.... like this casing the same all the way around, then they've extended the window sill to the outer edge of the casing to give someinterest/flair

Q

Sketch

Header is thicker, taller and wider (i.e. overhangs) than the casing. leaning toward this configuration, but without doing anything fancy at the bottom

Q

Sketch

lip on the bottom. think the header is thicker than the casing and that creates the lip

Q

Sketch

Header overhangs a tad and is slightly thicker than, but the same height as, the casing.

Q

Sketch

what do you think of the ledge on top and bottom of the header? also thick baseboard?

Q

Sketch

shelf on bottom of header. don't know is I like the header thicker than the side trim DH - I still like this one the best (as of today anyway).

Q

Sketch

top casing is thicker depth wise. David really likes and I do, too.

Q

Sketch

maybe a textured wall behind our bed instead of wainscotting

Q

Sketch

slight ledge on top of trim

Q

Sketch

the trim doesn't extend too much
