What if we change the orientation of our kitchen? What if, instead of the island "facing" the front window, we place the island length-wise, with it's side "facing" the front window? In this picture, imagine this as our kitchen, opening up to the back sliding doors...
Imagine this as the room to the right of the main entrance (where the garage currently is). We can have a couple of steps down into a room like this, with huge glass walls that open up onto a nicely maintained outdoor space.
