I am going with absolute black granite, white cabinets, but i love the idea of the contrasting dark island w/ lighter counter tops. I prefer oil rubbed bronze. I have a preference of the Amber Sky pendants for the island. I, of course, have a budget to negotiate so I have to be cautious of pricing. I would like to incorporate neutrals and a bit of green.

You have your choice of whites in the yellow, red, or blue families. Or the tertiary blends such as orange, green, or purple. But all whites will be in those camps for tint. Cream by it’s very definition is a yellowed white. You cannot have a cream without it being a yellowed white. It may have other tints in it also, but it will have yellow tint as a requisite of being cream. And your cabinet maker will not use house paint on cabinets. He should be using a conversion varnish finish. Which will not be the exact same color as a house paint. It can be very close, but do not have expectations of any housepaint samples 100% matching. They won’t. Not in sheen or tint.
