Reply to: I think it depends on what rooms are upstairs and how many are in your family. I’m useless at planning but these would be my concerns: No space for wardrobes in Bed 1. Maybe move the bed opposite and have wardrobes where the bed was and move the door to the middle (may work by eye) id probably put wardrobes where the bed is in bed 1 too and put the bed on the right wall. I don’t think the main bedroom being off the kitchen is ideal but really depends on first question. If it stays there (and I assume opens onto The garden) then I’d opt for french doors onto a patio. ideally I’d extend the 5m otherwise it limits the kitchen but maybe detail what you want/need in the kitchen. it looks as if the living area may be dark with the roof light positions?

Reply to: I think so too, but I would move the door from the hallway to the living space towards the back, and have it turn open towards the wall. That way the hall will be/feel more spacious and the door to the bedroom and understairs cupboard will be in the hall. You're maybe already planning to do that, but I'd make that a glass door, so you can see through the house into the garden when you enter.
