like the simplicity of this, but probably not very practical (no storage / utility)

could we make island big enough to seat 8? or would take up too much space in kitchen?
like the high stools, would like to be able to see out the kitchen windows when seated
like the bookshelf space, overhanging countertop for stools / sitting; would want some drawers to be on other side
like the bar / eating space
