Like the idea of rocks to prevent (hopefully) digging. Maybe both inside and outside the fence a bit.

I like the whole juxtaposition of all the elements - rock, concrete, grass, metal, wire AND wood.

Love it! But with wider gaps. And I keep thinking graduating the width of the plank from large at the bottom and then smaller and smaller as it moves up, ending in a few rails of pipe only.
