The mini island is an interesting idea. Would it disrupt the flow of the kitchen if we put it where the current dishwasher/sink is?
Cabinets on corner provide support for ceiling. I like the way the kitchen flows but there's still some separation of the kitchen and living area.
I like how this bench has a little bit of a back vs one where you have just a bench with loose pillows in the back.
