I like the idea of having the breakfast table coming off the island. I'm not a fan of the style of units but believe this would work really well on a more contemporary door choice.

Brilliant lighting idea. The boxing on the ceiling would make an ideal housing for a ceiling extractor and also for hanging some pendant lights. I particularly like the simple look of the tall units and hidden appliances.
