he height of the sitting area is lower than a typical adult seat. It's only about 14" resulting in about 12" for shoes. The sitting area is also about 20" deep and is really just a ledge but OK for kids to sit and put on their boots. The cubbies themselves are standard 12" deep shelving about 10" high.

They are about 22" wide each. The widths were determined by the architectural space. The cubbies are about 12" deep, the bench is about 16" high Bench about 24" deep.
