Another interesting elevation with a metal roof. This one definitely has charm (I've paged through a lot of pages of metal roofs that I don't like--you have to be smart if you go this direction. Colors, textures, everything seems to matter more--may want an interior designer or someone like that to really help you weigh in on this.
Shingle and metal can work if you are smart. Lovely outdoor spaces (many in your dreams :)

Local Company. Could be home in Hobble Creek (see background)--Metal roof--I think this particular one looks nice.
Solatube--may be a different technology than sun tubes--also uses LED.
Solar tube in closet. Those lights aren't on much anyway (so cost effectiveness matters), still, they are dark areas and door can be closed when you don't want the light (say, for a nap in adjoining bedroom).
At least one of those roof features are a solar tube (sun tube) lighting fixtures. Of course, they are seen from the outside so you want to keep that in mind.
Here is some solar tube lighting in a kitchen. Have also seen pictures of some in hallways. Don't know if these are more of a top floor feature, but I'm pretty sure that might make them more feasible.
Sun tubes--an amazing way to use natural light. Think hard about good places for them!

Nice light-filled space that accommodates eating and lounging. It is small, but in the right space that could be part of its beauty. (We've probably already proven we aren't aquarium people, but I like the interesting focal point.)
Love the "headboard" and think that would have SOUND dampening effects. Really like this room in general!
Laundry inside bathroom space. This can make sense if venting, etc. is appropriate and spaces are defined.
The nice thing about this layout, is that if the pantry goes behind the refrigerator, you can put a shut-off there to turn off the water to the fridge (for winterizing.)

I like this "studio apartment" type space in attic. Open yet defined.

If we ever need an outdoor shed, I love this crooked house! Would also be cute playhouse (but I never see playhouses used that much).

I like how spaces are defined and that dividing space could be used as a buffet area. Also, layout doesn't interrupt flow to backyard. Lots going on here that seems to work!
I'm sure it is too expensive, but a nice "cabin/cottage" look.
BEAUTIFUL alternative to headboard.
Not a deep, but still useful pantry. I like the appliance counter and would maybe want-plug ins for a few.
Small, but smart. (Too small for our big family except maybe downstairs.)
I also like how these spaces are connected but separate--defined spaces. (Don't like the ceiling cutouts, just the floorplan layout.)
Very interesting approach to side/grade. Applicable to us. Not sure I love the concrete fencing at ground level. I also might want the rails to be a tad higher--the fencing at Woodland Hills/Magleby estates are nice.
