Reply to: Thank you for all the additional information. How would you compare the Futuro "Skylight" model to the Best "Cirrus" product? Also, who makes blowers designed for roof mounting? Does that encompass any product described as an "exterior" blower? We have a mid-20th c. house that's very open plan, and are trying to figure out a ventilation solution for an induction cooktop on a peninsula between the kitchen and the family room, where we don't want to block the view any more than is absolutely necessary but want something more robust than downdraft. I'd be grateful for any suggestions or information! Thank you!

All Futuro Futuro range hood products are designed *and made* in Italy. There is no specification of production location in the Broan literature for the Cirrus. 2.) Stainless steel - Broan uses Type 430 steel, which has 16% chrome and 0.75% nickel (as per AISI composition standards). All Futuro Futuro range hoods are made from Type 304 stainless steel, which includes 18% chrome and 8% nickel. The extra chrome & nickel make 304 steel harder and shinier than 400-series steel. Even though it's much harder to work with during the manufacturing process, and wears out even hardened tooltips 4X faster than 400 steel, we only use 304 type steel due to its extremely long life without any rust spotting or discoloration. 3.) Size: the Skylight is 54" wide, giving it a wider capture area than the Cirrus. 4.)
