Good article. Sometimes I tell my friends to ask themselves questions why, when and how to plant trees and they seem not not understand.
It is airy and spacious besides the obvious beauty.
This is such a natural beauty that blends with the surrounding naturally giving the occupants the best of either worlds - the out and the indoors.
I like this fence because it provides the necessary barrier without being a barrier to the view of the garden/lawn on the other side. I have been wondering how I could fence of my fish pond in the middle of my garden without keeping it out of view when I want to sit by it or if a visitor or child wants to look at the fish. This kind of fence might just be the answer,
I have used local materials like logs in some parts of the garden as garden furniture.

I have a lot of inspiration from Houzz anh few other ideas from other websites. I got this idea of a chalk board in my open kitchen from hOUZZ AND THE CHILDREN REALLY LIKE IT. aND IT GIVES US ROOM TO CLEAN AND ORGANIZE THE LIVING ROOM WHEN THE KIDS SHIFT HERE.
Some of the ideas that I have got from Houzz is that of having room for the little ones.
Here my open kitchen should seamlessly connect the living room which now is an African hut when the project is done.
I have been troubling myself looking for a greenish pain for a chalkboard in the children's area in my open kitchen but this photo has given me the courage to go for black which is the easily available color in my home town.

I really had no idea about a mudroom yet I had kind of made one in my green open kitchen which is in the making and I had made a provision for kids area which connects to a laundry with a view of the green outside, which this picture just provides more inspiration for.

I like the idea of a chalk board and a book shelf for the kids. In my open kitchen I have only a chalk board and I think I can improve with the ideas here to make kitchen both more beautiful and lovely for the kids.
I like both the view, the color and the lots of light that come into this bedroom. It has a calming and refreshing atmosphere.
This photo reminds me of my own plan for a family room with lots of light and facing the pond. And the brown color of the furniture too reminds me of the choice of color for furniture that will easily show off the children s' smudges and messes.
This is a traditional African grass thatched hut with some elements of modern life e.g.it is self contained and has a ceiling, running water and electricity. It does not need air conditioning, for it is cool by the day and warm by night and blends well with the environment besides serving as a cultural reminder.
I like the solid stone short wall that keeps out unwanted stuff. I have such a similar sun shed but with a wooden wall with gaps in between which sometimes let in unncecessary stuff like little creepers, dust or leaves,
