Dark actually looks sharp here, and i think it would actually look good to counter the oak floors and cherry cabinets, but still feeling a little stuck about not seeing dirt on dark counters. But I may be able to be persuaded.

I'm wanting something lighter...maybe gray to white-ish. I do not light the darker colors for hiding dirt, and the red we looked at was too red, i think, with red oak wood floors and cherry cabinets.
