Bathroom Ideas
Cheap DIYs that look anything but! This bathroom floor is made up of 7,000 Scrabble tiles ordered from China. The tiles are attached to a plywood base with polyurethane construction adhesive, and the floor is sealed with five coats of water-based clear sealant. They include hidden words that are special to the homeowners!
Dark, cozy, masculine bedroom with the most interesting textures: Dark wood panel serves as interesting headboard behind a low, light grey neutral headboard. Dark bedside tables "fade" into the background except for the marble tops that add a touch of luxury. I especially love the slick gold cylindrical wall sconces that add warmed and a touch of glamour.
A water-resistant mural, created from a watercolor painting, add interest and color to an otherwise modern bathroom that may be too white/sterile. The way it wraps around the wall accentuates the mirror’s recess and the thickness of the wall. The flooring on the main level is large-format porcelain Italian tile that resembles concrete. They are durable and can handle a lot of foot traffic, don’t absorb stains, and easy to clean.
Playful yet calming bathroom: Bathrooms are often high on neutrals and low on vibrant colors, but, as evident in this home, a dab of zingy color can go a long way. The slim yellow borders make the mirrored cabinets pop, turning what could have been plain background accessories into striking features.
Black walls allowed for a subtle personal detail in this Toronto powder room. Because the homeowners liked to travel, the designers at LUX wrapped the walls in a custom-printed black and gray map of the world. As we’ve seen elsewhere, striking metallics lighten the space, here in the form of a gold faucet and mirror. Note the cleverly balanced contrasts too: the sharp angles of the faucet and sink versus the curvaceous mirror, and the rustic countertop versus the luxe gilded finishes.
Immaculately designed bathroom: LOVE the rug (Yomout Bokhara carpet made of 100% pure wool, bought at The Rug Emporium in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India). Privacy screen door (custom sliding door with a track at the top and at the floor, mahogany frame with an ebony stain, laminated glass with a frosted film between the glass panels). Floor (18" x 18" Ferroker porcelain tile by Porcelanosa). Wall (natural "Silverwood" limestone). Sink (Legato by Toto in cotton white).
Dark blue cabinets, a Caesarstone vanity top and brass details create an elegant blend in the bathroom. Handmade cement tile on the bathroom floor is a scene-stealer and gives the expected nautical style a big Moroccan twist. Vanity paint: custom (similar: Black Blue, Farrow & Ball) Floor tile: Eastern Promise in Tangier Pallazzo, 6¾ by 6¾ inches, by Martin Lawrence Bullard for Ann Sacks
Powder room idea: seascape Wallpaper - Summer.
The orange/red in this coral mural bring warmth to the neutral bathroom.
Lux small powder room
Love the floor tiles, white stand-alone bath tub, and that stunning Asian inspired mural of cherry blossoms in a gold/cream/copper background color.
Floor tiles, cabinet colour, pendant lights
Amazing shimmering tiles, white gold.
Bathroom tile color combo: yellow and grey
Classy bathroom with claw-foot tub and ceiling-mounted rail. Love the color palette, especially the amazing accent wall. The tiles are imported from Marrakech, Morocco but Swedish company Contemporary Tiles has a similar series called Dandelion.
Amazing floor tiles - can be used for foyer or bathroom.
Calm bathroom with a pared-back look. The big light beige tiles on the wall and floor add warmth and lightness. The pretty mosaic tiles in the shower is in the same color group and adds some creative flourishes.
Medicine cabinet with mirrored doors extends all the way to above the toilet. Recessed shelf.
Clean and light-filled contemporary bathroom with frosted glass door on recessed medicine cabinet.
Super simply and contemporary bathroom with matte white penny tiles. I would have built in shelves above the toilet, and extend the birch wood cabinets to the floor for additional storage space. Can also consider slightly bigger tiles. (Also, small % of colored title scattered through the bathroom?)
If you want a warm and cozy bathroom, use a taupe color palette. I like this for a small bathroom / power room. Wallpaper: Osborne & Little
Amazing bathroom tile.
This faucet and with a claw-foot tub or a free-standing tub.
Add interest and fun to any room by splashing a bright color to a small nook and keep the rest of the palette neutral. Here the hot orange hue really warms up the cool blue-gray and white. Colors: Florida Gold, Blue Slate, and Nickel from Pratt & Lambert
Add interest and spice and fun in any room by adding a bright color is a small niche or nook keep the rest of the palette light and neutral for an overall soothing vibe. Here the saturated lemon yellow is the perfect accent hue for the niches in the bathroom.
Bathroom with a non-white standing bath tub. STUNNING corner glass window.
Powder room idea: love the wallpaper! I wonder if this also goes well with birch colored wood...
“If your bathroom has a large amount of wall space eaten up by tile, windows or mirrors, try a dark color on the remaining plain walls. This helps the more interesting features to advance and the plain walls to recede, for a more dynamic look and lots of rich character.”
