love2cavies we have been friendly with our electrician for many years (he owns a company) and he is allowing us to order the lighting at cost(!), however, I am not sure if he has to order through specific companies or not. I have to ask him. The pendants are through Bicycle Glass and are hand blown so not so sure he can get those at cost. My island will be superwhite so want to make sure the gray does not look too gray if that makes sense. My island will be this color: Superwhite: and my perimeter will be this color: Cyndy Lol Newfoundland is not as exciting as burger bar! Because that light is in the foyer I think the light will be on very little and sadly probably very few people will come to my front door where it would be. I think most of my family and friends would come to the mudroom door. I saw the light in a showroom and it just looked so beautiful. I would definitely not put it in a bedroom or bathroom.

I've read that pulls should be 1/3 the length of the drawer. :-)

Beth H. :

here are similar cabs w/different types/sizes of hardware. pick out the one you like the best and decide if you want the handles in the inset on the drawers, or above it. it's fine to use larger sizes for the very large drawers, like here: or, just use the same size on every drawer. like here:

I think you could do so much better than those hex tiles you've chosen. they are a bit on the 'bathroom' side. I'd rather you use something like these from Lunada Bay Tiles (agate-taiko) . Still has your grays, but look how the golden tones make your flooring come to life. and this is much more in style than what you picked. or, look at this metallic chevron from Encore Ceramics (tons of colors) and lets not be afraid of a little color. Lunada Bay tile, 1x4 herringbone in Venezia and Verona pearl or (these all come in various color combos) If you really really love what you've pictured (the hex) then get it. will it look dated in 5 yrs? probably. You have some great key elements. Pick a backsplash that acts like jewelry. this one is a white quartzite w/antique mirror. from Tilebar.com Still like yours better?

Britta, Love2cavies, If you need granite, these guys in Decatur are worth the drive. I’m not kidding, we looked at Granite for 2 months. Ultra high end places, discount places and warehouses. its worth the drive to Decatur to visit them. Best selection, very competitive prices and top notch installation. https://www.constructionresourcesusa.com/atlanta-kitchen/ for cabinets we used Stan Hunt at The Caninet place in Lula Ga. Great design, custom builds and really competitive prices (Less than the high end stuff at Home Depot and tons better) http://www.cabinetplace.net

My electrician installed under cabinet fixtures that use xenon bulbs which are very similar to halogen. They are warm...nothing like LED's. They are dimmable (I have them turned down really low in the photo). I do not care for ANY of the LED bulbs....much too cool for my taste ....I don't have any LED's in my home. If you go to a local lighting speciality store, they usually have a display with all the different lighting options and bulbs on display. Seeing the different colors and options is very helpful.
