shower window: Choose a frosted-glass panel for privacy and preferably one that opens for fresh air. Next, ensure that there are stone jambs along the entire installation so that this area is watertight. Also, ensure that the sill gets sloped down and away for proper drainage.

ideal bath layout, though door is ugly and external sliding door would be preferable to keep right sink more usable. Ideal big, broad mirror over double sink with sufficient counterspace, and closed storage undercounter. Ideal ordinary bath/shower--glass half barrier, sandstone-like tiles, tiled bench on the end. Substitute in brass hardware for chrome if possible. Lamps should be on side of mirror as well. The glass at thetub/shower is sometimes referred to as a “European splashguard.” Any tempered glass shower door provider-installer can fabricate one. This type of double sink would be best because there is counter space. Shower is basic but nice. Lights should be placed on sides of mirrors, like this, though I would prefer one large mirror.

This bath-meets-bed room is very mixed for me. I love the luxe, shiny "compass" ceramic tile floor, brass bench, navy-bordered white linen, wooden headboard, & green murano lamp. I don't like the wall treatments: Neither the blue & white oceanliner curtains, nor the institutional white walls & low ceiling, nor the yellow head lithograph. This room would make me feel like I'm in a (posh) nursing home.

Q

Smart use of Mexican tile.

The sapele wood at the back of the room draws the eye and makes the room look deeper, while a new skylight, lots of reflective white, clear glass, a floating vanity and a strategic lighting scheme bathe the room in light. (For example, check out the glow on the floor provided by the LED tape lights underneath the vanity.) In addition, there’s a place to store everything so the counters can stay clean. Dramatic makeover.

Adorable white, wood & copper, with art (colorful Mucha print).

I like this style of tile: 1" x 3"? With gray grout, it looks modern. Also, the big plate mirror.

Cheery, gorgeous bath. Love the medium-stained bamboo cabinetry and varied blue shades scale tile (Australian).

cheapest, nicest solution: plug in rosy cherry floors, built-in shower with glass door, & double sink console with big mirror. note glass paned cabinets. OK. It won't be cheap.

A very strong argument for putting a bath in the basement: full glass wall onto volcano rock well.

Paneled and black-laquered walls (+ black & gold dog royalty art) -- so smart, it lets you get away with basic bath fixtures. (No to light fixture.)
