BEAM - If the beam has to stay visible, instead of painting it, is this a possible option and if so, is this a nice look for the kitchen/great room?

KITCHEN: The island countertop is amazing. John would probably prefer the one in the other photo. Also, the vent is amazing! If this isn't possible in Phase 1 then definitely save for Phase 2.
