I need to understand your personality better to give good advice. You obviously like color and aren't afraid of using color in your home. Love this, but what are your favorite colors? Green, but which greens and how do you combine them with other colors?

There are a ton of ways to add color to your home but the idea is that you want something that makes the whole place feel cohesive. Use a color as an accent in one room and as the main color in the next, mixing and matching from room to room or use just one color and place it in every room.

I love how this person flip flopped the trim and wall color between these two rooms:
Many of my examples have bright lime greens because I like that color, but it was not something that worked easily into my interior as my entry has purple/red/green slate flooring and a large pink brick wall that is shared by the living room and foyer.
I also love purples and teals which worked better than the brighter, yellower greens with the majority of the things I own and with the colors that weren't changing in my home.
When designing a color palette I always start with the things that must stay - either can't afford to change or don't want to change. Can't ignore them - they have to work with the rest of the colors.
Step 2 is always figuring out the colors that make the home owner's heart sing.
Do they love blues or greens or red or yellow? Do they love bright, bold colors, or subdued muted colors or soft pastels or dark and moody?
Then I figure out how those colors can be incorporated into the color scheme, how they will flow from room to room, where they will be the main color and where they will be the accent.
I pick my neutrals after the colors. The neutrals are the backdrop for the colors you love. They allow the colors to sing.
