Multi Purpose Room
This is the sort of design I am thinking of for the lower 1st floor area - living come guest suite - could marry with utility (kitchenette/bathroom in pool/outdoor room area. "Thick wall. A freestanding partition can act as a container supporting the function of spaces. This integrated, thick wall can both conserve the open-plan layout and provide separation when needed. It works well in this kind of configuration, flanked by pocket doors. While the entire space isn’t open to the adjacent areas, it offers a sense of both openness and enclosure. The pocket doors make this marriage possible by lending the ability to completely close off the bedroom."
This low divan lends itself to clever open plan division - i.e. could have living space on other (thinking down stairs multi purpose/guest suite and now know that there is a could bed on the other side and still have the view of the sliding doors out to the garden (thinking south easter end of house). Nice.
