Deck and Backyard
I love the idea of a raked pergola/shed roof. I tried to pitch this concept to Kim, where we'd follow the natural pitch of the house's roof with a pergola that descended downward to about 8 feet. I'd like to draw that up and see how it looks. I don't know how far out from the deck it would extend, but if necessary we could break the pitch and go out further, extending the coverage in pergola or roof fashion out into a sitting area with flagstones and ground cover or pea gravel.
love the staggered fence.
cushions on boulders???? YES! I could have storage tubs on the side of the barn for storage post event.
surrounding hedge work.
love the rectangular boulders!
badass.
ROX! INDY!
flagstone!
the idea of a terrace instead of a pit. What if we built UP a platform to sit on and have a fire? An above ground fire pit if you will.
big tree sections as seating and tables.
lotsa rocks
the gravel and the surrounding plant landscaping
Love the big timber frame.
Follow the red flagstone road.
Damn. It would be amazing in October to have an outdoor sports bar theme combined with a fire pit
I love the idea of a ground cover combination with large flagstones or tiles.
My sister did the pallet wood in their bedroom and it looks great. I never thought about creating an outdoor space that used it for siding. I can see us doing something in the backyard or in a new area by our barn to emulate this.
how it puts the focus back towards the house.
it's an oasis!
