I like the style/construction of this garden window...thinking about the interior shade to cut the winter sun.
I like that the garden window is of a different type/construction than ours...like the panes-would "match" with the paned windows we have elsewhere in the house.

Now, this is pantry HEAVEN!
Would this work in place of our current two-door pantry in which only one side is the pantry? It seems like it would give us a lot more room for food storage and get some of the pantry items out from the cabinets above the peninsula.
Kind of similar idea as ours...but somehow, still doesn't keep the stuff in the drawers/shelves from looking messy. Also, would like some lighting inside.

I like the look of this large kitchen window, but we'd sacrifice the space in our current garden window set up.

What about moving our microwave into a space like this to the right of the fridge? Would require renovating current cabinet set-up there to accommodate it.
I like the idea of using the "kickspace" below cabinets for storage-not necessarily for a folded stepstool, but maybe.
