3-1/4” sustainably harvested South American hardwood called Kumaru (or Cumaru), FSC Certified, which has a natural dark tone.(stained (dark brown????). Finish by Bona's DriFast natural stain Boni-Kemi with a Satin sheen. However, where the natural wood had lighter streaks the Boni-Kemi rosewood stain was used to even out the streaks.

Thank you for commenting on this great kitchen we renovated on the Eastern shore. The floors are wide plank oak. The wood countertops are walnut butcher block. They have been oiled with a food-safe oil to protect hen from staining.

The floors are quarter cut whte oak with a walnut inlay and the stain is light chestnut. The cabinetry is painted in Benjamin Moore Oxford White. Counters are Carrara Marble....

Union Studio We had a local mill make the flooring. It is a combination of #1 (80%) and #2 (20%) white oak. The mill also laminated it onto a plywood backer for us (as the flooring was installed over radiant heat so needed to be engineered). A local flooring company (Amber Flooring) helped us develop a very subtle grey stain and the topcoat is Bona Naturale. Hope that helps.
