3-1/4” sustainably harvested South American hardwood called Kumaru (or Cumaru), FSC Certified, which has a natural dark tone.(stained (dark brown????). Finish by Bona's DriFast natural stain Boni-Kemi with a Satin sheen. However, where the natural wood had lighter streaks the Boni-Kemi rosewood stain was used to even out the streaks.

Union Studio We had a local mill make the flooring. It is a combination of #1 (80%) and #2 (20%) white oak. The mill also laminated it onto a plywood backer for us (as the flooring was installed over radiant heat so needed to be engineered). A local flooring company (Amber Flooring) helped us develop a very subtle grey stain and the topcoat is Bona Naturale. Hope that helps.
