crawl space
In the winter of 2012, our sheetmetal shed bulked under the weight of 3 feet of snow...you know the deal, out of sight out of mind. We both like stain wood, and needing storage space, we decided to convert our crawl space to a storage area. We made 3 columns of a decorative stone ($180), and all doors where made of 2 x 3 pine. Not visible in photo, the doors have a screen in the them for the summer for ventilation, and reflective insulation (tin foil surrounding bubble wrap that is simply thumb tacked up for the winter time. We both enjoyed doing this diy over the summer time. I fooled around with scraps of wood before we decided upon making the louver doors. Although we both like the x doors, i was, frankly starting to get bored making them! Besides having the look of word and looking really good, this idea is unique. Learn as you go, and have a good time. P.S. Some mistakes were made, but while she wasn't looking, i hid them well...ha ha
