this is an old question, but the desk is pretty pricey, but I have the answer. The bottom base are "ibex rams" which were big in the 1970s I think. They're typically under dining tables and coffee tables. They're all pretty much vintage only, and are about $5k, but sometimes you can get them on Craigslist in the $2-3k range. They are ~$10k on 1stdibs though! I've considered getting them 3d printed to get the look without the cost, but I haven't done much follow through.
