Hate the kitchen but the floor is nice

I like the wood used here but too much used. Not a fan of black backsplash.
Slatted wood ceiling is nice but using concrete floor so maybe this concept can't work if we feel the wooden floor is more core to 65 View St.
I like the repeating use of the kitchen's feature wood behind the stool seating cutout/section in the island.
