A different kind of sink might actually work better for you. The work stations designed by Rachiele can include a drainboard as well, but I think the integrated options are what you might need to just stop seeing this stuff.

Here’s what I had cut into our marble countertop....it slopes very gently toward the sink so no spillage onto the rest of the counter or the floor. No grooves either (as some installers do)because the grooves just trap water and get slimy. I love this feature of our countertop and wonder if I should have it done in our new build where the sink is on the island. Thoughts? (This sink in the photo is along a wall below a window.)
