Clerestory and transom windows
This is a beautiful room with great finishes. Note the upper windows, referred to as transom windows. The way their light and imagery reflects on the polished stone surround around the fireplace is amazing. Think about how an added bonus would be to have decorative glass of some type in these windows, and have that reflection on the stone be an added artwork for the room seen twice; in the windows themselves, and reflected on the fireplace surround.
The amazing wood ceiling shown here accentuates the shape of the clerestory (upper) windows. There are unlimited opportunities to treat windows like these with a multitude of decorative glass techniques including both leaded, etched and fused glass. They become functional artwork, and can enliven a space with individualized expression.
Really nice decorative touch of leaded glass as an accent in the clerestory window
