Check out this top row. The center is set back so you see the crown wrap around the front of the end cabinets. I really like this upper wet bar.

Q

Photo

Kind of pretty with side cabs on surface

Q

Photo

Or deep booze drawers

Q

Photo

Or maybe one wine tray like this under

Q

Photo

Inset doors

Q

Photo

Inset doors and side panels. Nice step in center, but you may like all wall cabinets lit

Q

Photo
Photo

Maybe two of these full height booze shelf pullouts, hmmm

Q

Photo

Might be nice to have one row of wine cubbies below the center shelf

Q

Photo

For some reason the stained shelf combination feels a little more casual than glass shelves. Both are fine, again just want to strike the perfect go-between LR to Kitchen.

Q

Photo

But without tile

Q

Photo

This shows the step up in the middle. But all three wall cabinets could have glass and be lit.

Q

Photo

Love a pullout booze shelf or 2 ?

Q

Photo

Here’s a look at an open cabinet in the middle but with adjustable glass shelving. Nice though I would still like to see the center cab raised higher than the ends.

Q

Photo

Here again, chris’ idea of a sort of built in floating painted shelf with a common crown across

Q

Photo

This shows something closer to your stain on the floating shelves

Q

Photo

Here’s a very little stepping of cabinets. Interesting

Q

Photo

chris, this is what you said and it’s definitely a way to consider. So crown but with floating shelves. I think it works better here with a painted shelf to match crown.

Q

Photo

Just shape example

Q

Photo

Mirror back example. Hmmmm

Q

Photo

Interesting version of a floating glass shelf in combo with a wall cab above, hmm

Q

Photo
Photo

Glass shelves again. It’s pretty Kate.

Q

Photo

Floating middle, and glass shelf behind glass door combo. Kind of digging the backsplash tile to ceiling behind a floating shelf, but again, just need to be thoughtful about the transition between the 2 ends of the overall space. So like this wet bar should be a combination of the LR vibe and the kitchen vibe as a lead-in to the kitchen feel. Don’t be too literal when looking at these images…like the outside end wall cabinets may not go all the way to the surface.

Q

Photo

All glass wall cabs with the center stepped up like I spoke of

Q

Photo

With stained floating shelves that match island. Pretty nice but here they have too many base cab colors, right?

Q

Photo

Nice

Q

Photo

Maybe art and very little shelf between

Q

Photo

Fancy glass shelf idea, hmmm

Q

Wet bar area

Q

Photo

I like the open shelves being more integrated (like the living room) and less floated.

Q

Photo

Wall cabinets straight to the corner without wrapping

Q

Photo

Finished end panels

Q

Photo

Nice glass cabinet to weigh out next to open shelf above bar

Q

Photo

Finished side/end panels

Q

Photo

Finished end panels on cabinets

Q

Photo

Note, finished side panels for the end panels of the refrigerator and bar area.

Q

Photo

Copper and antique bronze finishes on pulls are a nice combo

Q

Photo

Wall cabinets with no turn. Nice finishes combo. Shows copper mixed with stainless and brushed. Pretty with black solid surface tone

Q

Photo

**Notice 3 drawer base cabinet configuration…flat, panel, panel. So flat front top drawer, and panel fronts on2 bigger drawer fronts. Also notice that these are inset vs. overlay fronts.

Q

Photo
Photo

***Nice combination of traditional crown molding mixed with waterfall surface on the island.

Q

Photo

Eclectic vibe. Shaker door fronts with a small bead inside panel is a nice detail

Q

Photo

About the width of your proposed island

Q

Photo

Traditional crown mixed with waterfall island. I like seeing the waterfall used in this eclectic sophisticated space, still an OA warm feeling without being too sleek and contemporary

Q

Photo

Tile to ceiling. Nice crown molding to finish/cap tile.

Q

Photo

Consider the reflection on the dark waterfall end with certain materials

Q

Photo

About the width of your island

Q

Photo

Too much patterning in surface material shows the seam as it waterfalls, meh Needs that mitered edge

Q

Photo
Photo

Backsplash to ceiling behind vent hood, but lower on other sides. This is about the width or your island.

Q

Photo
Photo

Waterfall treatment used here to delineate space much like a wall

Q

Photo
Photo

Waterfall in a more traditional styled space. Refrigerator bookending the working area…leaving space to stand in front.

Q

Photo

Cool chunky waterfall in combo with a typical thickness surface on the perimeter. Ceiling height reads about 9.5’ though

Q

Photo

Nice to see a waterfall edge used in a warm ,sort of glam vibed space instead of contemporary and sleek.

Q

Photo
Photo

Black waterfall

Q

Photo

Nice finish combination. Backsplash tile to ceiling, but with a subtle contrast in color.

Q

Photo

Beefed up waterfall thickness and matching perimeter, but with a 9’ ceiling +/-

Q

Photo

Waterfall thickness equal to perimeter surface

Q

Photo

Thicker waterfall vs previous pic

Q

Photo

Trick for power in the island. Extend width in end panel to accommodate. Without the jog in the surface though.

Q

Photo

This is about how wide your island will be

Q

Photo

Waterfall edge in a less contemporary space

Q

Single end waterfall
