not very cabin-y but I love the colors and the big dots in the rug and the smaller ones in the print on the chairs. Plus, the brown metal railings make me think that maybe going to "industrial chic" downstairs in combo with a cabin feel might be interesting???

the wood backsplash is cool for the kitchen with the glass doors on the upper cabinets...might make the kitchen area less claustrophobic?

I like the idea of using lighted display cabinets to increase light in the basement...maybe do that to the open wall next to the stairs?

not a huge fan of shiplap but I like it in this color...plus, the wood vanity is kinda cool - one sink with plenty of counter space. The floor is fun too.

would love to have a big walk-in pantry in the basement since I have no room for one upstairs...can the laundry room/kitchen area be rejiggered somehow?

not sure I need to stack the machines but I like the industrial feel to it and the white brick wall is cool...the brick could be used in the kitchen area too.
