This stool would be harmonious if placed in the room used to show emphasis. It's color and texture match those shared by the floor and island top, but it also has an interesting and light shape, which contrasts the slightly bland room, and the heavy shape of the kitchen island
This image is a good example of rhythm in the form or gradation. This is because, in one end of the room, there is a big, black grand piano. Near the center of the room, there is a gray center table, and a gray chair a few feet away. Finally, at the opposite end from the piano, there a is white chaise. The colors of the objects move from light to dark as the sizes of the objects move from bigger to smaller
This is a good example of scale for multiple reasons. For instance, both the sofas are the same size and do not appear to be overcrowded or too small in the big room, both of which are aesthetically pleasing. Also, the rug is large enough to fit both the sofas over it, but does not cover up the entire flooring
This photo is a good example of asymmetrical balance. This is because, while the room appears to be almost the same, there are a few minor differences, such as the items on the center table and side tables, and the armchairs on both sides. However, the weights of these miscellaneous objects cancel each other out, and leave the room looking balanced equally on both sides.
