I love that the firepit area is raised. It gives a feeling that you are in a separate room.

I like pergula straight to firepit. I also like the pergula end on pillars and that pergula is attached to the house.

This photo probably represents our layout the most. I like the privacy wall and this may be a deck in the picture, but I like the idea of a raised patio for the pergula section and step down to fire pit in a straight line and a small patio at ground level by the morning room. I also like that the pergula is all the way to the house. I would probably just make the raised patio a little longer to extend into the yard a little more so we could have a dining area under it.
