Storage: Layout with shoe cubby when you walk in our front door.
Not sure if I like this and I'd want it to be the same countertop sort of falling over the edge into the table level. But maybe.
I like these island posts.
I like the idea of having some kind of posts on the end of the island to anchor it, like furniture, so the counter isn't just hanging out into space.
Like the idea of different pantry doors, maybe antique or antique-looking
Sort of like this to build up on side of stairs behind banquette
