Veranda

Looks expensive with all that stone. But I frickin love this veranda. The arches and the table space. Like something from a holiday home and a great place for a bbq/hottub

Very neat walkaround porch. Makes the house look bigger than it is and would be easy to just park the car nearby and walk around to the rear where people are chilling on a summer evening

Q

This is actually perfect balance of light, protection from rain, no worries about slipping on that stone. The little window at the top gives good light but its still nice and private

Q

I love these georgian window styles and the way the shadows hit them

Q

Its not immediately visible but there is an insect screen. I love the idea of sliding doors and letting fresh air flow through but the amount of insects in the summer must be insane. This is a problem I've yet to figure out how to resolve. Large insect screens just seem messy and take away from the natural beauty

Normally I would say no to this type of exposed veranda but in this case it works because of the elevation. I'm less concerned about lack of privacy. Totally depends on the site I suppose

Q

Photo

Now this is cool The roof is probably overkill but the brick/stone shelter and expose to the outside is awesome.

Hate this. So many clashing colors and that plywood ceiling is barf. What is the point in having those wide open windows if you can't get the best use of them with a bit of height

Q

Photo

Probably a bit too expose to the rain but love everything else. The stone walkway, the pillars and little stone wall next to bbq

Q

Photo

Don't like this. Too dark/secluded. Roof has no supports in sight. such a poor use of space

Q

Photo

Porch/ veranda. Love it. Just a place to sit and watch the world roll by

Q

While I'd prefer 1 veranda/decking the way these 2 link is aweomse. Love that stone walkway. Love the brick facade and the little line running through. Hate the blue doors and plastic looking roof

Q

Photo

That view though!! Love the seating area and openness Don't love the panelling on the floor or roof. Too exposed to rain. Could possible have glass. Hate those decking plants. they always end up super slippery compared to stone

Q

Photo

Such a cute porch. Love the steps leading up to the door. Probably wouldn't make sense if i was trying to reduce the height of the building. Love the pillars and the plants in front of the windows windows Don't love the blue tint color

Q

Love the veranda decking space. Love the combination of a balcony with the sheltered under area. 2 for 1 Love the columns although they could be a bit thicker don't love the pitch of the roof, the panelling on the house, its general shape and slant. Th fact the whole thing is on stilts. That the decking if slippery wood and not stone.
