Wanted to show you that wood cabinets come in colors nowadays!

If you would be open to relocating your China cabinet, you would have more room for a larger rectangular table like ours with a bench on one side. You have plenty of space on that back wall. Would work better for your large family.

Pretty color blue or could be wall color. Or just a colored backsplash. Many options.

Wanted you to look at the recessed can lights that are easily installed. If you wanted you could put a pretty fixture over table. I'd eliminate the fan & light you now have.

You could do a pretty farmhouse sink and this type of roman shade is so pretty on the window. It lowers down or up. You would probably have about this much backsplash area to work with.

Wanted to show you that you can even mix cabinet colors. White on top, color on bottom. Wish I'd done it but not everyone likes that look.

Microwave above range and another great sink option is just a clean undercount sink like this photo.

If you wanted a single pantry where your desk is you'd have room & still enough countertop space. Could use your current pantry for extra storage like I do for blender, big pans, etc.

Question: is your fridge pushed back all the way now? Also, how old are your appliances? Would love to have all match. Also could have open cupboard on one end if you like that look, so many options!!

This bluish gray color is my favorite, also others in gray family but you might hate it. I'm just trying to see what jumps out at you because it's YOUR kitchen.

Q

Lots of choices for roll out drawers & pantries.

Another farmhouse style sink, also called an apron sink. Mine is stainless steel if you remember with big section & smaller one with garbage disposal in it. Also shows micro in lower cabinet which you love or hate.

Gray cabinets, but would use brighter backsplash. On your range wall I'd put cabinets that go all way up to ceiling like these with mounding trim. Won't work other wall because of overhang, unless it's not necessary for support (weight bearing) then it could be removed possibly. I would also recommend skim coating all kitchen walls to make them smooth & then paint a neutral color & let color come from backsplash. Lots to think about!!!
