Reply to: anj_p - Thanks for the warning! chispa - Are the stickers stapled to the bottom of the door? Can you get a pair of needle nose plyers underneath? At least your doors are close enough to the floor. Our bedroom doors have a sizable gap underneath. I am in the process of finding something (besides a draft stopper sock) to close the gap so DH can sleep in after I get up. I can stick the front part of my foot underneath it it's so high. Sound seems to travel very easily in our house. I think because of the taller ceilings. But our bedroom is a direct shot from the kitchen, so it's hard to keep noises from traveling down to the room when I am in the kitchen. Speaking of gaps, there is a gap between our cabinet doors in the bar area. I have looked and think they are adjusted as much as they can be. I am not happy with this look and will be contacting my kitchen designer. I am not sure what can be done, however. 😏

Reply to: Sherryl - I am also glad!!! madrasmafia - Thank you! We have had so many compliments from the neighbors. The brick is called Magnolia Bay by Meridian. The company is based in Alabama, but our brick was made in Georgia. Brandie May - Thank you, as well. I need to quit taking photos in the rain, though this picture is a little better. As some of you may recall, we are putting shutters inside the openings on the garage, and one on a back wall (it will be rectangular) to resemble windows where we did not want need or want them. The shutters will probably be a French Blue. We are adding window boxes under the two arched Faux windows. Since our property line ends 3' from the back of the garage, we have very little room to plant much in the ground there. We will either plant grass, or have a bed with some slow growing miniature boxwood. The neighbors Dogwood tree will be trimmed, as it currently hits the house. It is beautiful in full bloom!

Reply to: You don’t have a lot of room between the door opening (in between vanities) and the edge of the tub so I wouldn’t go freestanding as it needs enough room all the way around for you to easily clean. I would go for this type of tub that looks freestanding, but actually is attached to the wall (plus provides a spot for a glass of wine, should you be so inclined ☺️). This one comes in 59” or 71” lengths, although 71” would probably be too long for your height. Depending on ceiling height you could go for a chandelier or maybe some really interesting wall lights ....BTW, I love bathing and use my tub every single day!
