The walls would be overwhelming here, if not for the different sized tiles on the offset tub wall, and the colored glass texture. The browns of the vanity and in the floor seem to ground everything well enough, while the ceiling white continuing down the wall, pulls all the white together. Interesting design.
I'm a big believer in painted ceilings, and in vivid colors. This definitely fits that bill. The subway tile are a bit heavy, however keeping so much white in the room balances that. Once again, for me, the texture of the floor helps everything come together successfully. A thumbs up on this one. Just think of the accents you could use in your linens :)
Interesting and quite successful combination of elements here. Some woodwork is white, and some gray. The floor and sink area walls are in multi-tones surface (marble?). The monochromatic subway tile in a majority of the area are what pulls everything together, at leas for me. A good balance was achieved. I also appreciate the sharp lines of the sink and tub. The marble effects on the wall/floor add a softness and comfort to the space. VERY nice look.
Second shot of this room. Note how they also kept woodwork and trim black as well ... with the dramatic exception of those closet doors. Unique look.
Nothing held back here! Not my style, but I've had a client or two that would have been brave enough. Definitely a personal look, but again, tile from floor to ceiling ... I'm worried about the cleaning! I'll also share a second photo of the opposite wall.
A look for the modern/contemporary stylists out there. Brave and daring, I applaud the work. My issue would be how to clean that "to the ceiling" mirror :D
Using mini tile here probably added to the work load, but it is what makes the space so successful. In such a small area like this, any bigger size tile would have obnoxiously eaten up the space. This actually expands it by easily taking the eye all the way up the wall. It also accents the rest of the features, helping them stand out. Very nice look.
A quite brave look here, but very successful. The short shutters allow privacy with maximum light. Any type of curtain or valance here, would surely have ruined the freshness and clean lines of the room. Wonderful room.
A dusty yet fresh hue ... not gray, not blue ... in a small space, too. Like it.
Anyone can appreciate the "fun" of this design, even if it's not what you're looking for. Sometimes it's ok to just "Go For It" and do something out of your comfort zone!
Unique combination of techniques are used here. Very brave choices for a seemingly small space. The phrase "Go Big or Go Home" comes to mind. Very nice.

Casual, vacation residences or any kids' bath would be fun in a technique such as this. A similar dado look could be more easily achieved, simply by eliminating the bead board, and painting the trim and lower wall all the same color.

Too bright for our room, but this space is GORGEOUS!
We were looking for aqua. While this two-toned effect is very nice, it's a bit too bright a look for us. We wanted a more calm, rather dusty turquoise.
These are our bathrooms colors, in reverse. We have light gray cabinetry and dusty aqua walls.
You only need the essentials in an extra bathroom. This has everything, with a small shower at the opposite end.
Love these sinks and vanities. We would only have room for one sink, but could get a bigger version.
Could do this backsplash.
The middle counter cabinet can work very well, in a large enough space. Provides privacy from second sink area and presents a very different look than the usual.
Notice the larger tile on backsplash and tub front, and then the narrow tile behind tub. The darker tones there pull out the darker grays in the cabinets. Subtle choices add drama to the design.
YES, would work for us!
