Would like to keep the front yard treatment relatively simple. Like this asymmetrical ranch style with flower boxes for color (but maybe wood instead of brick). Note: we would like to remove the shutters from the windows.

Q

Like the manicured shrubbery. A slightly more contemporary version of the 60s ranch style.

Q

Also like the shrubbery here for the front yard (just not as densely packed).

Q

And these :) The ones on the left are veering pretty hard towards Tim Burton-land (which I'm not mad at), but I feel like we could really do the tamer looking ones on the right :)

Q

Photo

Like the wide entry and the wrap-around step (an idea we were thinking of for the front). Mostly for a more welcoming, contemporary element. Also like the asymmetrical pavers for extending the existing back patio.

Q

Photo

Another version of the wide porch/step concept that we were considering for the front entry. Also like the idea of a partially covered pergola for the back patio.

Q

Photo

A mix of a translucent cover, like this, and louvered shade might be nice.

Q

Photo

Like the pergola style and wrap around step here as well.

Q

Photo

Like how this arbor helps to give the feel of a wider, more open outdoor living space with a relatively low profile.

Q

Photo

Like mix of shade and sun, the courtyard feel, and the variety of greenery: hanging, climbing, boxes, beds, and open patches of grass.

Q

Photo

Like this pergola style.

Q

Photo

Like the way the pavers delineate space here, the built-in seating, wide, shallow steps, and the plantings in general, particularly in the bed on the right side of this photo (so, less tropical :)

Q

Photo

Like the mix and balance of this space.

Q

Photo

Like the idea of the landscape inviting people to spread out over multiple levels. And the plantings :)

Q

Photo

Like the grassy plantings, terraced beds and wide steps. Really, all of this, only less :)

Q

Photo

More stairs.

Q

More stairs.

Q

Photo

Like the idea of built-in seating and beds behind the retaining wall.

Q

Photo

We like the use of shape here and varied textures.

Q

Photo

Like the plantings and shapes.

Q

Photo

Like a mix of grasses with flowers for color.

Q

Considering breeze blocks for privacy/to hide the garbage bins at the end of the front driveway closest to the house. Also like this mix of materials.
