These seems pretty simple,
Back part is the wall idea, with wood trim.
Lighter wood trim, and more mid-century post.
Use poplar and hemlock trim?
Could this be done in wood?
Cheapest option, I suppose, would be to create a wall, maybe topped with wood trim.
Nice to have the railing wrap around into the stair railing.
