Reply to: I simply have to disagree with the comment about people who complain cannot afford marble. I have opted for quartzite in my last two kitchens (taj mahal in one and sea pearl in my current) which far out prices marble in my area. I chose it for the lovely veining look of marble but with the durability of granite only harder as my quartzite is near bulletproof. I will still always covet marble. Though with a husband, two boys, and my affinity for acids and red wine, it simply isn't for me.
