I love the concept of a vertical stripe of tile at the stove. Our vent hood looks just like this one. I don't want to go this bold with a pattern there, but I like the concept.

I really like this shimmery tile backsplash. The color is perfect, and it brings nice texture but not a lot of busyness.
At a bare minimum, if we decide to do subway tiles, I would like to do a picture frame with chevron under the vent hood.
