Wow lots of opinions out here. I prefer bm Distant Gray and Ice Mist as they don't have any distinct undertones (grays, yellows, pinks, greens) like the other whites and are in my eyes a PURE white. If I were doing your project in my own home, I would have the same color on the walls as the trim and the sheen on the trim would be semi-gloss. Walls would be satin or eggshell. If you go with a different color for trim need to be careful that it doesn't have yellow undertones which could make it appear yellowed and old. Beautiful home-have fun!!

Wow, does white ever stir up conversation...and it should! There are so many whites. What we have to remember is how your light is interacting with the light at all times of the day. BM and SW are equally nice paint to use and both have excellent palettes. SW is easier to use- as they have the gradient colours and you can see which ones have what colour base. Personally, I use Oxford white ( BM) in a semi gloss for all my trim and on the walls, I use the oxford white in an eggshell. The colour plays nice with all lighting types and is not too yellow, green or grey and has no pink( save that for the old funeral homes). Vanilla milkshake is another nice warm based white. Cloud white- is not bad. Testing paint should be done on white board- not your walls. You want a true colour rendition- especially with white. Have fun!

Long conversation about white paint. I too panic about colors. My architect said use "sugar cookie". It's fab.

Hello Avery...What a beautiful home you have! Cloud white has a warm yellow undertone; you should consider that when choosing. Simply white is very crisp clean white that would highlight your architectural details on doors, baseboard, window frames. Look at Vapour AF-35 or CSP 125 Ally's Earring or CSP-485 Paper Doll (my favourite with all your wood) from Benjamin Moore. Any of those would look great in your house.
